Choose adhesive types: Rubber? Acrylic? Silicone?
 Specifications

Have you ever wondered why tapes have so many types, colors, and pricing? Which tape should I choose for my project?

Generally, adhesive tapes can be classified into three major adhesive systems:

Rubber | Acrylic | Silicone

Each system has its advantages and disadvantages.
Before applying adhesive tapes to your project, first thing is to choose wisely for the right tape!

Rubber-based Adhesive

-"Quick and sticky for general applications"

The rubber-based adhesive is a soft material that offers good tack & adhesion to most surfaces. Compare to acrylic and silicone adhesive it has lower temperature and UV resistance. It’s a cost-effective option for applications at room temperature and does not need exposure to direct sunlight.

Acrylic-based Adhesive

-"Advanced grade for industrial use"

Acrylic adhesive is a very common type among industrial PSA tapes. The acrylic adhesive is separated into water-based(emulsion) and solvent-based types. It has many possibilities when it comes to bonding. High resistance to weather, UV, temperature, and chemical. Excellent adhesion to most high surface energy surfaces.

Silicone-based Adhesive

-"Premium grade to meet specialty adhesive requirement"

Silicone adhesive has excellent temperature, voltage, and solvent resistance. Also, it features great adhesion when applied with silicone materials. If your manufacturing process is in a very high temperature and harsh environment, silicone adhesive tape will be a very good option.

Silicone adhesive has lower tack compared with rubber and acrylic adhesive. However, it can be torn off easily without leaving any adhesive residue.
